I am very pleased to report that PIAP Team 2015, has just concluded a very successful “Strategic Planning Session” for two days at the Embassy Beach Resort in Olangapo City on January 17 and 18, 2015.

During the Strategic Planning Session, the activities for the whole year was discussed and planned.  Practically all the members of the Board have committed to create an ambiance and motivate our members to feel the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere now prevailing in our new improved Printing Industries Association of the Philippines. This is more so because we have added three new dynamic and exceptional talents as members of the Board this year.

These are some of the activities we have discussed and planned to execute in order to pursue their successful conclusion. This will definitely bring back the prestige, glory and reputation of PIAP which used to enjoy in the printing community.

(11)     At the start of the year, we have prepared a balance budget with a little surplus headed by our Treasurer Nancy Sy, so that
PIAP will never fall into the pitfall of what happened in 2012
and 2013, where through mismanagement and irresponsible leadership dispensed without any proper planning and budgeting where PIAP suffered a loss and deficit of more than 6 million pesos which acts are unforgivable and those who are responsible must be held responsible and accountable.
We have promised and committed never to allow such irresponsible and unforgivable acts to ever happen to our beloved association. Starting last year through the collective effort of Team 2014, we were able to recover the lost prestige and reputation of PIAP through credible and outstanding activities that provide real benefits and credible services to our members.

(12) This year, we will start and launch with a big bang the holding of the “Printing Technology and Innovative for Flexible Packaging” workshop/seminar on April 27 & 28, 2015 at a 5 star hotel with free lunch, dinner and two merienda for free to all our PIAP members. For non-PIAP members, we will charge five thousand pesos each (P5,000.00), and additional PIAP members who wish to attend will also pay P5,000.00, less 50% discount.

Finally, all the members of the Board have committed to practice and adhere to the Principle of Good Governance and Responsible Leadership so that we can return PIAP to its former glory and prestige and with the mission of maximizing membership value through world-class services by continually providing commitment to excellence in an stimulating environment that supports personal growth, individual contributions and teamwork among its members.

With all the efforts and hard work exerted by our dedicated and dynamic officers and members of the Board for 2015, we all can expect an exciting, fruitful and banner year for our beloved Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, and make us all proud to be a member of PIAP.

Mabuhay ang Samahang Manlilimbag ng Pilipinas.
